History of Art at Aberdeen provides the opportunity to study the art of all periods in Europe and America - architecture, sculpture, drawing, painting, print and decorative and industrial arts. You will study at a university steeped in 500 years of social and artistic development and rated top in Scotland for the impact of the work of its History of Art researchers. You are assessed by any combination of three assessment methods: coursework such as essays and reports completed throughout the course; practical assessments of the skills and competencies they learn on the course; and written examinations at the end of each course. History of Art at Aberdeen explores the artistic disciplines of Western and Eastern Europe. The range of courses on offer will enable you gain an in-depth understanding of artistic movements that particularly interest you. The historical knowledge and analytical skills that you develop will help you meet the requirements of employers.
