Introduction If you are interested in a career within arts as a film producer, web developer or the many associated professions in the film and media industry this programme gives you wide ranging knowledge, analytical ability, grounding in film making, photography and digial media and practical film making ability. You learn methodology, research and application plus knowledge of the history of the different media formats. You develop critical skills and theoretical understanding of visual culture in its social and historical contexts, through discussion and analysis of film, photography and theoretical writing. You engage with a wide range of material, including film, photography and digital media, the MLitt in Film and Visual Culture introduces you to the key ideas and debates which have shaped understanding of visual culture during the twentieth and twenty first centuries.
