Introduction Launched in 2007 the Centre for Scandinavian Studies researches all aspects of Scandinavian language, history and culture. PhD students participate in activities of the centre and run MLitt pgorammes, seminars and promote projects and conferences. There is a Centre for Viking and Medieval Scandinavia with experience in Old Norse, Old Swedish and Scandinavian literature, toponymy and runology.
