Introduction The Centre for European Labour Market Research (CELMR) became an offical centre in 2000. It is a very strong interdsciplinary research group with links to the medical school via the Health Economics Research Unit. Aims of the Centre are: To identify and implement high quality research projects in labour market economics To understand policy debate on labour market issues in the UK an EU To develop a coherent research agenda, structure within and commercial interests with governments in the UK and EU To develop internaitonal links and collaborative reserach at European scale.
