In Business Management, you will gain a wide perspective and thorough grounding in all areas of business, including skills in accountancy and statistics. Your knowledge will be developed in the dynamic, international environment of our Business School where there are 45 nationalities. In Politics, you will explore different political systems, the process of making and implementing policy, nationalism as well as concepts of democracy and how we vote. You will be taught by experts in political parties and elections, democracy and how we achieve it, energy politics, European integration, regionalism and politics, human rights and development issues and conflict and security. You are assessed by any combination of three assessment methods: coursework such as essays and reports completed throughout the course; practical assessments of the skills and competencies learnt on the course; and written examinations at the end of each course. A wide range of career opportunities are open to you with a Business Management and Politics degree. You may go into accountancy, finance, management or set up your own business as a consultant, advisor or as the basis to enterprise. With knowledge in Politics you can go into the civil service, local government and marketing and communication.
