Introduction This innovative programme will appeal to students who wish to embark on careers in the art and heritage business. It is designed for students with a background in either history of art or business. The taught MLitt in Art and Business is designed around the excellent resources available at the University of Aberdeen. Through the study of both art in situ and contemporary business theory and practice, students will gain a first-hand experience of the art market place. Options provide training in art historical, business, legal and museum methodology. The programme is delivered as collaboration between leading commercial professionals and academics. It provides a choice of approach to commercial issues in art history, heritage, and to business specialisms. On site you have access to museums and art collections by known Scottish and world artists. Off site Scotland hosts well known gallery's locally and in Edinburgh and Glasgow, art houses and auctioneers, and the National Trust for Scotland holds well known works across the ages from known decorative artists, architects, landscape gardeners, sculptors globally such as Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Scottish Colourists, Ramsay, Turner, Ferguson and more.
