The Graduate Diploma in Business is the ideal course for those who want to study a postgraduate degree at Northumbria but who do not currently meet the entry requirements. By studying a mix of English language and business-focused modules you will build your communication skills and develop your understanding of how business works, enabling you to progress on to one of a number of Masters programmes at Northumbria University. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma (subject to progression requirements) you will be guaranteed a place on one of our Masters programmes. This course is taught using a range of methods, including: lectures, seminars, and tutorials. The lectures and seminars are interactive to help you understand how to apply the theory into practice and we use a range of materials and case studies to support your learning. Throughout the course you will be expected to spend time on independent study through self-directed learning. You will have access to the University’s online electronic learning portal (Blackboard) where you will be able to access a range of learning materials to support your learning. Each module of study is assessed by coursework assignments or end-of-module exams or both.
