he LLB in Law with Business is designed for students who aim for a career in law with an interest in business and management and wish to have a substantive understanding of how law functions and interacts with the business world. The Programme is essential for students looking for a career which straddles both the legal and business spheres, as it provides essential preparation and understanding of how law works in and affects the corporate world. This joint honours degree will give students a solid foundation of business and legal studies as there will be a mix of core business and law modules from the School of Law and the School of Business and Management Studies(SBM). The programme will be a Qualifying Law degree covering all the core modules needed to satisfy professional requirements for the foundations of legal knowledge and skills in England and Wales and some other jurisdictions. Students will take LAW4005 Elements of Contract Law, LAW40006 Land Law, LAW5001 Tort Law, LAW5003 Equity & Trusts, LAW 4002 Criminal Law, LAW 4001 Public Law, LAW5105 Law of the European Union, among others. Students in their first year will also engage with a compulsory module on Law and Business. Students can choose from a wide variety of elective modules in Levels 5 and 6 from SBM. In the final year, students can also choose 75-credit business and management modules from SBM and 45 credit law options from the School of Law.The programme will provide students with an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills on both business and law subjects which will help develop a multidisciplinary understanding of the business world.
