This programme provides full accreditation for the qualification of Chartered Engineer. It will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge required for a wide range of high-end, high-quality careers in electrical and electronic engineering across business, industry and R&D.The first three years of the programme are common with the BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Transfer to and from the BEng is possible up to the end of the second year. Progression on the MEng is subject to satisfactory end-of-year performance.Years one and two offer a grounding in mathematics, analogue and digital electronics, communications, electromagnetics, power electronics and computing. In the third and fourth years you choose from a wide range of courses. There is a great flexibility of options, covering a breadth of disciplines within electronic and electrical engineering such as electronics, embedded systems, communications and networks, Internet of things, sensor technologies, digital signal processing, energy production and storage, electrical machines, and automation and control. There is also a project module in each of the last two years: individual project in year 3 and advanced group project in year 4, allowing to develop your own engineering creativity and practical individual and team-working skills highly prized by employers.
