Delivered through the Australian Maritime College (AMC), the four-year Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours is designed to prepare students for management careers in the dynamic and internationally-focused maritime and logistics industries.
These are studied in combination with logistics-based units to provide the necessary focus and an in-depth appreciation of the issues confronting the maritime and logistics industries.
In choosing a four-year Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours you will:
Study at Australia’s national institute for maritime and maritime-related education, training and research
Learn through hands-on practical experience including industry workshops, site visits, and work experience

Students undertaking the four-year Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours also have the option of the following interim exit awards:
Diploma of Global Logistics and Maritime Management (100 credit points / 1-year full-time study or equivalent)
Associate Degree in Global Logistics and Maritime Management (200 credit points / 2-years full-time study or equivalent)
Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management (300 credit points / 3-years full-time study or equivalent)
Course objectives
The Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours provides graduates with high-level expertise and knowledge to understand the maritime business in the global arena, the world-wide spanning logistics services and strategies, as well as the structuring, operation and coordination of supply chains. While exposing students to principles in financial management, international business, human resource management and strategic management, the course offers a clear focus on key components of the maritime and logistics industries, such as port management, logistics, supply chains, warehousing, procurement. It expands also to key principles in maritime economics, commercial, transport and maritime law. With a focus on an applied approach to these critical areas, centred on strategic and analytical thinking and decision making skills, the course provides a unique educational experience with high level of relevance to specific global shipping and logistics industries. The program aims to produce graduates able to contribute substantially to strategic decision making to maintain, enhance and drive these industries now and into the future.
The honours year of the course encourages students to engage with an industry specific problem of their choice and apply their knowledge and skills to study this problem and offer innovative solutions in collaboration with an industry partner. Students may choose to work in groups when developing their project, to diversify and enrich their honours project experience and expected deliverables.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours degree will:
Build coherent and advanced knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts in global logistics and maritime management
Develop cognitive skills to review, analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge in the global logistics and maritime management domain
