The course is designed and delivered with input from our extensive industry contacts; we will teach you how to construct and deliver software solutions working with clients in real-life situations, which could lead to careers in software development or internet systems development. Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), this Master’s degree aims to equip you with the professional and technical skills needed to specify, design, develop, test and implement large-scale software systems in a variety of different contexts and organisational settings. The assessment for the modules vary and include a diverse set of approaches, such as portfolios, essays, papers, phase-tests, posters, presentations and formal exams. On successful completion, you should have knowledge of: a range of systematic approaches used in the development and management of computing and information technology systems; approaches used in the development and management of distributed, internet-based computing systems; different tools and techniques available for effective specification, design, modelling and development of software systems; and a range of application areas for software systems and appropriate methods and technologies for a variety of areas.
