In this course, you will gain the skills you need for the challenging task of teaching in a primary school. On this course, you develop the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm needed to motivate children’s learning. This course is designed to prepare you to meet the demands of recent developments in primary education. We emphasise the core subjects of English, mathematics and science. School-based training is an integral part of the course, and you will work with pupils in key stages 1 and 2. We offer the course in partnership with local and regional primary schools, which play a key role in the teaching and assessment of your professional competence against the teachers Standards. In total you spend 120 days in school over the year. As part of the course you gain 60 credits towards a masters qualification.
