The Master of Laws program (LLM) is designed to expand your knowledge and deepen your understanding of a specialist area of law. All courses offered within the LLM program are developed for advanced study, contain a significant research component and focus on critical thinking and critical analysis of complex legal issues. Be taught by experts in their field Students in the LLM program will be taught by the Faculty’s leading teachers and researchers, with experts from the practising profession and legal institutions around the world. You will learn from leading academics considered to be the most distinguished and experienced in Australia, in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Environmental Law, Employment and Labour Relations Law and International Law. Flexible Program Structure and Delivery The LLM is a flexible program that offers a combination of online and intensive courses that are tailored to accommodate the needs of full-time and part-time students balancing work and study commitments. The LLM is focused on small classes that will support the development of your skills and promote advanced learning. What You Will Study Students are required to complete 8 courses (80 units) which they can choose from our list of cutting-edge courses, including Law for Startups, Food and Wine Law, Corporate Power and Corporate Accountability: Pathways to Socially Responsible Business and International Air and Space Law. Students can choose to specialise in any one of the following five specialist areas: Employment and Labour Relations Law Environmental Law Dispute Resolution International Law; and Law in Practice. In order to obtain a specialisation, students must complete 4 courses (40 units) from one of the specialist areas and an additional 4 courses (40 units) either from their specialisation stream or other directed courses.
