Autopsy practice is changing around the world with the use of post mortem computed tomography as an adjunct or replacement to the traditional invasive autopsy in both natural and suspicious death investigation. This postgraduate degree will enhance your knowledge, practical skills and diagnostic confidence in the field of post mortem imaging, drawing on the expertise of the University of Leicester’s East Midlands Forensic Pathology Unit and Imaging Unit, global pioneers in the field of post mortem computed tomography imaging. Each module consists of five days' on-campus teaching with distant blended learning. You will be expected to achieve a pass rate of 50% on all module learning material.

Students who have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree in China, may be considered for entry to a Master's degree at Leicester. Students must have graduated from a 'top 200' university in China, they may be asked for 70% overall if they are applying for an Engineering or Science degree, or 75% for an Arts, Humanities, Law or Social Science degree. They may need to have scores of at least 80% in modules that are particularly relevant to your chosen Master’s degree. The School of Museum Studies requires at least 80% overall. If students graduated from a Chinese university ranked below the top 200 they may require higher scores (80-85%). If students have completed a three-year college diploma from a Chinese university, they will need to take an accepted one-year Pre-Masters course or upgrade their diploma to a Bachelor’s degree before applying for a Master’s degree.
