The University of Leicester has been providing healthcare education for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for over 40 years. The local nursing service providers at the United Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust alongside Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) have also been key to ensuring that you will be equipped to deliver modern-day nursing care to be part of the next generation of nursing leaders. Strong links with clinical placement partners from the NHS has been essential to creating this innovative course. You will be taught by nursing academics and clinicians with national and international reputations for expertise in nursing education. The teaching staff have been selected based on their subject specialist expertise and are recognised leaders in their specialised area of clinical practice. The balance between the university academic learning (theory) and placement learning (clinical) components set out by the NMC will enable you to achieve the required standards to become a registered nurse.
