Our course is ideal for healthcare professionals who wish to specialise in diabetes from either a primary or secondary care background. This degree will give you the chance to study within one of Europe’s largest diabetes facilities, the Leicester Diabetes Centre, which offers a unique combination of ground-breaking research and dynamic clinical services. You will benefit from the specialist knowledge of the experienced and high profile academic staff from the Centre and the University of Leicester. The ongoing research published by the Leicester Diabetes Centre ensures that all the materials you use will be relevant and up to date. This course comprises a range of modules, combining the most topical thinking around clinical care and research in adults with practical examples of how novel research and evidence-based diabetes care can be applied in real life, clinical settings.

Students who have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree in China, may be considered for entry to a Master's degree at Leicester. Students must have graduated from a 'top 200' university in China, they may be asked for 70% overall if they are applying for an Engineering or Science degree, or 75% for an Arts, Humanities, Law or Social Science degree. They may need to have scores of at least 80% in modules that are particularly relevant to your chosen Master’s degree. The School of Museum Studies requires at least 80% overall. If students graduated from a Chinese university ranked below the top 200 they may require higher scores (80-85%). If students have completed a three-year college diploma from a Chinese university, they will need to take an accepted one-year Pre-Masters course or upgrade their diploma to a Bachelor’s degree before applying for a Master’s degree.
