The Primary PGCE prepares you to teach in Primary and Early Years schools and settings. On the programme you will develop teaching skills and techniques as well as acquire curriculum knowledge and understanding within a broad and relevant theoretical framework. As the programme progresses, your teaching responsibilities increase. Within the Primary PGCE, you have the opportunity to follow one of the following pathways and routes: Early Years (3 – 7); Primary (5 – 11) pathway; Primary (5 – 11) with Foreign Language Leadership pathway; Primary (5 – 11) with Special Educational Needs; and Primary (5-11) with Mathematics Specialism.
