This course provides a solid grounding in the scientific principles behind environmental management issues. You will benefit from our custom-designed building with specialised research facilities, including laboratories and instrumentation for work in molecular ecology and biochemistry, environmental chemistry, physics and stable and radioisotopes. You will have access to superb controlled environment facilities, a large area of experimental poly tunnels and glasshouses and extensive opportunities for fieldwork at our experimental farms. After completing this course you will be ideally placed to work in government agencies (e.g. DEFRA, Environment Agency), environmental consultancies, waste management companies, water companies, agricultural consultants and firms with in-house roles covering sustainability and implementing environmental law. for future doctoral research.
